The Easter Island Head is one of the many exhibits in the Museum of Natural History. He is based on the real-life Easter Island Head. He loves to eat gum and always calls Larry, "Dum Dum." He is voiced by Brad Garrett in the films and by Jim Cummings in the video game adaption of the second film.

Night at the Museum[]

The Easter Island Head is first seen in Night at the Museum asking for gum by Larry. Larry replies back, "I have no gum-gum for you, I'm sorry." He does advise Larry to run from Attila the Hun.

The next day, Larry gives the Easter Island Head some bubble gum. When the big bubble popped, the Easter Island Head is unable to speak as the Jade Lion sees this.

Before the tablet got taken, it is presumed that the bubble gum was removed by some of the museum employees.

As the exhibits are fighting, when Larry tries to stop the commotion, the Easter Island Head silences everyone with a loud yell for 13 seconds. After he finishes, he then tells them that Larry needs to talk to them, followed by Larry saying "Thank You." to him.

Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian[]

The Easter Island Head has a very minor role. Theodore Roosevelt states that the Easter Island Head will remain at the museum with him, Rexy, and Ahkmenrah.

Battle of the Smithsonian Video Game[]

The Easter Island Head is seen at the first stage of the Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian video game. The player must find bubble gum and give it to the Easter Island Head. Doing so will reward the player an achievement.

Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb[]

The Easter Island Head has a very minor role like in the second film. Before the exhibits are panicking, the Easter Island Head says to have some fun in the museum. After surviving the British Museum, the Easter Island Head remains lifeless before the sun rises after the Tablet of Ahkmenrah has been recovered. During the celebration, the Easter Island Head tells Lancelot to have fun

Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again[]

In Kahmunrah Rises Again, The Eastern Island Head as a minor role, being seen in a handful of scenes. It is seen talking to Nick at some points, not talking in a rhyme for once and instead saying- "I know, right?" when Nick says how scary Joan of Arc is. He is seen in a few of the other scenes, being a more minor or background character in them.

  • In a McDonalds commercial, a museum visitor sits behind the Easter Island Head. The Easter Island Head says "Yum Yum" twice and one of the visitors throws a Chicken Nugget inside its mouth. This is to promote the McDonald's toy line based off the second movie.
  • In a Heresy’s Kiss ad, we see a bow of Heresy’s kisses on the museum desk with Rexy behind it before it uses it’s tail and hits a Heresy’s kiss, causing it to fly into the Easter Island Head’s mouth. This is where he eats it and says “Yum yum”.
